When you want to delete all the attributes of all the dynamic component (dy_com),you have to go in and remove the dynamic component attributes one by one, it’s wasted time. Use the Delete Dynamic Deep Selection (DDDS) tool to automatically delete all dynamic attributes in SketchUp.
Most people assume exploding a dynamic component strips its smarts, but it does not — SketchUp copies the dynamic_attributes dictionary onto each child, so the loose groups stay “dynamic” and can still resize, snap back, or fly off when you nudge them. The attributes live on both the component definition and every instance, which is why deleting them through the Component Attributes window one field at a time is so tedious on nested assemblies.
DDDS targets exactly this: it walks the whole selection recursively and wipes the dynamic_attributes dictionary at every nesting level, including sub-components you never opened, turning a tangle of interactive parts back into plain, well-behaved geometry in a single click. This makes it the practical alternative to the old “Save As SketchUp Version 6” trick, which also drops dynamic attributes but downgrades your whole file and is no longer offered in current SketchUp 2026 saves.
