Kitchen Countertop SketchUp — Dynamic Component with Sink & Cooktop
Kitchen countertop SketchUp models from Dynamic Sketchup includes countertop with cooktop, with sink and clean surfaces. The models can resize without change appliance size. Cooktop, sinks and faucets can be replaced quickly. This is the most effective way to design a kitchen countertop in SketchUp with accurate appliance placement. All countertop models are free and included in the 3dshouse Parashape plugin.
These work because each appliance is a sub-component whose dimensions are constrained relative to the parent. When you stretch the countertop with the Scale tool, only the worktop surface grows — the cooktop, sink and faucet keep their real-world size and simply re-position, because their LenX/LenY are pinned and not driven by the parent’s scale. That is the difference between these models and a plain group, where scaling would distort every appliance into the wrong proportions.
One thing worth knowing before you download: the parametric resize and the replace/options panel only run in SketchUp Pro — the free web version cannot run Dynamic Components at all — no Component Options, no Component Attributes, and no Interact-triggered behavior, because SketchUp for Web does not support extensions. The models insert as static geometry only. Parametric resize and appliance swapping require the desktop app (SketchUp Pro or Studio). Note also that since 2020 SketchUp Pro is a named-user subscription (no perpetual license); the current line is SketchUp 2026, and the Dynamic Components engine that powers these models ships with every Pro release.
